Rustbelt Reclamation’s Haymarket furniture line pays homage to one of Cleveland's first markets which was established along the Cuyahoga River just South of the city’s Public Square. Farmers travelled to the "Haymarket" by wagon to sell their produce and hay to the citizens of Cleveland. What resulted was a veritable 19th Century gas station and supermarket for people and their hoofed companions.
The Haymarket Line is constructed with a traditional post and lintel design and mortise and tenon joinery. 3” x 3” posts intersect a 3” top to compose a robust piece of furniture that’s built to last. Each piece is offered in three distinct finishes; Natural Satin, Weathered Grey and Dark Walnut. Natural Satin showcases the figuring and grain of the wood in all its splendor. Weathered Grey tones down the grain and gives the table a more contemporary appearance. Dark Walnut imparts a warmer more uniform appearance to the surface of the piece.
